Adam frequently appears in the Youth, Magistrates' and Crown Court and is instructed to defend as well as prosecute. He has experience of successfully conducting a large number of trials relating to a wide range of offences, from multiple charges of domestic violence assault to road traffic offences. Prior to joining Chambers, Adam was employed by Hampshire Probation Service as a Court Prosecutor of breaches of community penalties. As a consequence, Adam has extensive knowledge of this area of law and of appropriate sentencing options in general.
Adam has also represented serving prisoners at a number of Prison Adjudication Hearings, involving offences of violence and dishonesty.
Adam accepts instruction in all private and public family law matters and has undertaken a range of hearings in both the Family Proceedings Court and the County Court. He has conducted hearings relating to care, contact and injunction proceedings. In particular, Adam has significant experience of care work, due to a three month placement in the Children's Services Department at Southampton City Council Legal Services.
Adam has an interest in all aspects of employment law and is happy to advise (in writing or in conference), draft pleadings and represent clients at tribunal. Adam has experienced a wide range of employment cases for both claimants and respondents.
Adam practices in civil law including personal injury, infant settlements, landlord and tenant, consumer credit and contractual disputes. He has undertaken trials and various pre-trial hearings in all three tracks. Adam is happy to undertake advisory work at any stage of litigation and will consider instructions on a CFA basis.
