David is regularly instructed by both defence and prosecution, and has conducted multi-handed trials for both. He has particular experience in the Youth Court, and in dealing with vulnerable clients such as victims of domestic violence. He has dealt with a range of offences including assaults, robbery, burglary, public order, harassment, and road traffic.
David welcomes civil instructions and has dealt with a large number of small claims hearings, and general applications. He is regularly instructed in negligence and contractual matters and is happy to provide written advice and pleadings. Having worked in the investigation of bankrupts prior to joining chambers he has a solid understanding of the application of insolvency proceedings. Additionally he has worked on carbon monoxide poisonings and fatalities, with involvement throughout the litigation process.
David has a broad knowledge of employment law. He has experience of tribunal proceedings, advising, and drafting for both applicant and respondent.
David accepts instructions in private and public law, and has experience of pre-proceedings meetings as well as after issue. He has been instructed by the local authority to undertake a 3 month in house placement and so has a firm knowledge of public law proceedings.
