Wayne Effeny(Senior Clerk)
Wayne has been Chambers' Senior Clerk since Chambers was established in 1989. Wayne has considerable knowledge of the local courts, staff and practice. As our senior clerk, Wayne has primary responsibility for barristers' fees and diaries. He is also responsible for managing the Clerks' Room and maintaining Chambers' high standards. Wayne is responsible for forming strong working relationships, understanding clients' needs and tailoring our services accordingly. Wayne is a keen cricketer, known in local circles as the 'Hythe Legend'.
Mark Windebank LL.B (Hons) (First Junior Clerk)
Mark became a clerk in Chambers in 2005 and was promoted to First Junior Clerk later that year. His principal responsibility is the day to day running and maintenance of the case management and diary system. Mark has recently taken on responsibility for Chambers' marketing, including event promotion and digital marketing . During previous employment in recruitment, Mark developed skills in evaluating clients' wishes and has a comprehensive understanding of the requirements of the local courts and solicitors. Outside work, Mark enjoys rugby and sailing.
Natalie Alani(Second Junior Clerk)
Natalie joined Chambers in January 2008 to follow a traditional clerking career. She has received extensive training and is able to assist with diary management and general clerking duties as well as fees. Natalie is responsible for listing cases and is a crucial point of contact between the solicitors, courts and members of Chambers.
Sophie Lanzoni (Third Junior Clerk & Marketing Assistant)
Sophie joined Chambers in June 2010. Previous to this she gained considerable experience within banking and retail. Sophie has a dual role in the Clerks' Room - she assists the administration and practical clerking and is also assistant to the Marketing Committee in Chambers.
Wendy Hughes (Administrator)
Wendy has been with College Chambers since 1991. She is responsible for office administration, accounts and banking.
