Robin is principally a family law practitioner, with interest in cases involving land and property-planning. He also has extensive experience in landlord & tenant cases, particularly business tenancies. He has been head of chambers since 1993 and tends to concentrate now on heavier cases that require an extra dimension of experience & Judgment.



Robin's main interests include finance and ancillary relief disputes, as well as cohabitee and civil partnership, Inheritance Act and TOLATA cases. He enjoys the challenge of high net worth ancillary relief cases, especially those involving disputed expert evidence.
He has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in particularly difficult family cases, accepting instructions in both public and private Children Act matters. He has been in several complex care cases one of which lasted over 60 days and involved more than nine parties. Where Children Act proceedings are concerned Robin is usually instructed in cases involving difficult issues of alleged parental misconduct or where there is a dispute as to allegations made by a child.
Robin has handled many disputes involving land and rights over land including one that has continued for over ten years and has seen him in the Court Of Appeal. His work also includes instructions in Inheritance Act applications and general common law work.
Robin has many years of experience working in the complex world of planning, He has recently conducted (as inspector) a village green inquiry for the Isle of Wight Council and acted for Eastleigh Borough Council in a sheltered housing planning appeal.
