Siān undertakes a wide range of ancillary relief cases from those involving clients focussed on needs based solutions to those of high net worth. Siān has experience in cases involving business and foreign assets, intervening third party interests and large pensions.
Siān has a particular interest in cohabitation disputes and has experience in dealing with cases involving jurisdictional and complex factual and legal issues such as allegations of fraudulent conduct. Her practice also includes Children Act 1989 Schedule 1 applications and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975.
Siān practises in both public and private law children cases. She regularly deals with cases concerning allegations of physical and sexual abuse, neglect, alcoholism and substance misuse. She also has significant experience in representing very vulnerable clients including those with mental health issues and learning disabilities.
Siān is a qualified family mediator, and is available to mediate family disputes concerning property, finance and children. She can assist clients in reaching tailor made solutions to their legal problems in order to avoid the need for court proceedings. Her approach helps to promote communication and minimise conflict.
Siān is qualified to accept instructions directly from members of the public to advise, draft documents and appear in court.
Siān regularly gives CPD accredited seminars and provides in-house training upon request.
