Zoe has a particular interest in family law and provides proactive and practical advice. She also accepts instructions in enforcement proceedings in relation to all family law matters, including enforcement of contact orders under the new regime. She also undertakes fact finding hearings and matters of preliminary issue. Zoe has undertaken many hearings involving physical, emotional and sexual abuse representing victim, perpetrator and child. She will accept instructions involving issues of removal from the jurisdiction under section 8 Children Act and also the Hague Convention.
Zoe's work in the field of public law children work includes all areas including care, adoption and applications for Special Guardianship Orders. She has undertaken work on behalf of the parents, local authority, interveners, additional family members and the children through their Guardians. Her experience includes cases involving physical, emotional and sexual abuse and non-accidental injury. She has undertaken work in difficult perpetrator hearings with conflicting medical expert evidence.
Zoe's ancillary relief practice includes civil partnership disputes and Schedule 1 Children Act 1989 applications. In addition Zoe will accept instructions in applications for enforcement and variation of ancillary relief orders.
Zoe has a particular interest in Mental Health law and practice and represents patients detained under the Mental Health Act. Zoe has also appeared in the County Court dealing with applications to discharge the patients' nearest relative. Zoe has a particular capacity to connect with clients suffering from mental health difficulties.
Zoe will accept instruction on housing law matters and residential landlord and tenant.
Zoe has a particular capacity to work with clients who are especially demanding and cases of a sensitive nature. She regularly represents clients who have a number of difficulties, including mental ill health, learning difficulties, violence, drug and alcohol dependency, many of which utilised expert evidence including psychiatrists, psychologists, risk assessors and drug and alcohol dependency experts.
