Personal Injury

We accept instructions on behalf of both claimants and defendants. We will assist with written advices; drafting of statements of case and schedules; conferences with clients, and advocacy at interim hearings and trials. Attendance at roundtable meetings or mediations is also part of our service, with excellent facilities here in Chambers to host all forms of alternative dispute resolution.

Headed by Carol Davies (1995) our personal injury team offers a prompt and efficient service that covers the full range of personal injury cases, from minor whiplash claims to major industrial injuries and clinical negligence. We are often involved in the decision-making process, such as the choice of expert witness; gathering of evidence; surveillance recordings and the reserve to be put on a claim.

Our most senior practitioners are regularly instructed in the most serious of cases. We provide clear and realistic advice with the aim of achieving the best possible outcome for the lay client. We accept instructions on a conditional fee basis subject to an assessment of merit. It is Chambers policy to screen all potential CFA cases by two members of Chambers, so as to reduce the risk to any adverse costs insurer. This is a completely free additional service.

Members of the Personal Injury Group undertake all aspects of this area of work, including:

  • Road traffic accidents
  • Employer's liability
  • Occupier's liability
  • Highways Act claims
  • Clinical negligence
  • Industrial disease
  • Holiday claims
  • HM Coroner's Court
