We are one of the south’s leading sets of chambers, providing first-rate advocacy and professional advisory services. We combine this with a practical and commercial approach to advice and litigation. We are proud of our strong reputation and are committed to ensuring only the best service for our clients.

College Chambers was founded in 1989 by Robin Belben, His Honour Judge Roger Shawcross, and members of two leading London sets. Over the last twenty years we have grown into a highly-regarded and diverse set of chambers. Amongst our current members, we have part-time judges including a recorder, deputy district judge, a tribunal judge of the Mental Health Review Tribunal and two chartered arbitrators. We have a dedicated team of mediators and mediation suite providing an exceptional alternative dispute resolution service. Our reputation is based on our work as specialist advocates. We are committed to providing the reliable service which our clients expect and deserve.

In 2003 we became one of the first sets of chambers to earn the Legal Services Commission 'Quality Mark', for the efficient management and organisation of chambers. In 2011 we became one of the few sets to achieve the BAR MARK standard for practice management.

College Chambers remains committed to the Bar Council's code of practice and complies fully with the Practice Management Standards and Guidelines for the Bar.
