- Contact applications involving children in care
- Emergency applications and injunctions
- Judicial Review
- Public Interest Immunity and disclosure
- Secure Accommodation
- Wardship
- Complex medical issues
- Cases involving allegations of sexual abuse, non-accidental,
shaken baby cases or chronic abuse
Our members regularly represent parents, children, relatives, local authorities, step or foster parents, prospective adopters, CAFCASS and the Official Solicitor. We have the expertise and knowledge especially in our local courts.
Chambers makes every effort to ensure consistency of Counsel throughout these most difficult and emotional proceedings. We work closely with our clients and solicitors to obtain the best possible outcome for both child and parent. We are fully committed to representation under the Graduated Fee scheme at all levels of seniority.
The group team also has a range of domestic and international experience in adoption proceedings under the Adoption and Children Act 2002. Our members are often called upon to advise adopters in the context of the Human Rights Act.
