Get It Done Package

We are now piloting our College Chambers Get it Done Package for parties who have engaged a solicitor. We may extend the package to Direct Access clients in the future.

The goal of our College Chambers Get it Done Package is to end the Mediation/pFDR/pDRA/pPTSH session with a signed consent order/settlement that will be filed the same day.

What makes the College Chambers Get it Done Package unique is the structure of the package. Each party pays the same amount, and we provide:

2 x barristers (one for each party)

3 x rooms

1 x mediator/pFDR/pDRA judge

1 x day

We will assign you a barrister and a mediator. We assign based on the package cost; you will know who is assigned before you commit to the package.

Why does College Chambers pick the barrister and mediator/pFDR/pDRA/pPTSH judge? We do this for two reasons:

If we pick, neither party feels they have lost out on their choice, and
It is really important that both parties feel they are going in on an equal footing in terms of the costs they are paying and the legal experience they have access to, so no one feels 'outgunned'.

All the participants need to do is provide:

An agreed bundle with a maximum of 250 pages (family finance must include agreed ES1 and ES2) three days before the session

What would the day look like?

09:00	Meet at College Chambers. Participants have a 30-minute conference
09:30	Exchange short position statements in bullet point form and send them to the mediator/pFDR/pDRA judge saying exactly what you want
10:00 11:00	Participants meet the mediator/pFDR/pDRA/pPTSH judge Participants outline their positions pFDR/pDRA judge gives an indication
11:00 13:00	Negotiate including legal representatives meeting on a 1:1 basis, possibly using the mediator/pFDR/pDRA judge to find a way forward.
13:00	Break
13:30 14:30	Negotiate including legal representatives meeting on a 1:1 basis, possibly using the mediator/pFDR/pDRA judge to find a way forward.
By 14:30	First Draft of the agreement is shared via a central cloud document. When needed, 1:1 meetings take place to iron out any details in the agreement using the mediator/pFDR/pDRA/pPTSH judge if appropriate
16:00	Sign the agreement and file with the court

What does it cost

The participants decide on the level of experience required and any extras, and then the clerks will provide a clear quote.
